Using high-density SNP Microarray data from parents and offspring, Chromosoft can provide detailed information regarding where meiotic recombinations must have occurred in both parents in producing each of the offspring’s chromosomes.

A detailed “Karyomap” is provided for each offspring along with the details on the closet SNP located to the point of recombination. This is useful for identifying recombination hot-spots, determining whether offspring have inherited a particular allele, and it can even be applied towards diagnosing aneuploidy in a developing embryo!
