Allele Sharing Between Siblings
Using Identity by Descent methods, Chromosoft can help you determine the status of alleles inherited by the children when nuclear family data is available. Determine whether or not offspring or embryos have inherited particular alleles from either parents.
Allele sharing between siblings can also be used to identify novel loci involved in heritable traits for which the genetic cause is not entirely known. With large data from multiple offspring (both affected and unaffected), the genomic regions which are not-responsible for a Mendelian-type inheritance pattern can be ruled out using Chromosoft’s Identity by Descent based software.
